Senior Data Architect (with Business Intelligence Experience)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise data architecture, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and analytics readiness. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to translate organizational data needs into robust, modern data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Defining the overall data architecture, frameworks, and standards for the organization to support BI and analytics goals.
• Designing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for reporting and analysis.
• Selecting, integrating, and optimizing BI tools and platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Canvas, SSRS).
• Defining ETL strategy and architecture for moving data from source systems into analytical data stores.
• Ensuring data architecture and BI solutions are scalable, secure, and performant for complex queries.
• Establishing policies for data quality, data lineage, metadata management, and security controls.
• Drive adoption of data best practices, documentation, and metadata management.
• Implementing role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and audit policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data architecture, BI, or advanced data engineering.
• Strong knowledge in data modeling and data warehousing methodologies.
• Deep expertise in Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, SSRS, Canvas for dashboard visualization.
• Strong DAX and data modeling skills for BI tools.
• Knowledge of data governance and cataloging tools.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level data and BI solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to work cross-functionally.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Ability to lead technical teams and drive data modernization initiatives.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or CBIP certification preferred.
